⅓ c. melted butter
⅓ c. maple syrup
8-10 slices French or Challah bread (1" thick)
4 beaten eggs
1 ¾ c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, stir together melted butter and maple syrup. In a separate medium bowl, mix the eggs and milk. Pour the butter and syrup mixture into a greased 13 x 9 in. baking pan. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on top. Pour egg mixture over the bread.
Cover and refrigerate 2 - 24 hours. To bake, remove cover, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top of bread, and bake at 350º F for 35-40 minutes.

Serves 4-6. We make this recipe every Christmas eve. I put it in the oven while we're unwrapping presents on Christmas morning and it smells heavenly!
