1 Cup Yellow Cornbread
1/3 Cup Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Sugar
2/3 Can Nestle's Evaporated Milk
1 Egg
1/4 Cup oil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in medium size bowl. Add milk and egg and mix well. Use approximately 8 inch iron skillet heat oil. Add hot oil to cornbread mixture last. Stir quickly. Place in oven 425 degrees for 20 minutes.

**Recipe doubles easily...do not double oil.

I got this recipe from my mother, Winnie Hebert who in turn got it from her mother Beulah Hebert. I loved waking up to the smell of this cooking in my grandmother's oven. We liked to eat it by the slice with butter or in a bowl with milk.
