1 box Lemon Cake Mix (any brand)
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1 container lemon frosting (any brand) – optional

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350⁰F. In a large bowl, beat cake mix, shortening, butter and egg on medium speed about 2 minutes or until blended (dough will be very stiff). Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 9-12 minutes or until light brown around edges. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; remove from sheet and let cool completely. Frost with frosting or heat frosting slightly in the microwave and drizzle over cookies. Store covered. Makes approximately 2 dozen.
