1/3 C. shortening
1 3/4 C. sifted cake flour
3/4 C. sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 C. milk (or sour cream)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg together. In another bowl, place the rest of the dry ingredients. Add the flour mixture to the shortening mixture alternately with the milk. Blend well. Pour into a greased 9x9" pan. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.
