2 1/2 C all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 C butter or margarine
1/2 C vegetable shortening
1 C sugar
1tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Sift dry ingredients together. Cream margarine, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat in dry ingredients until smooth. Blend in milk. Drop by tablespoon about 3inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 mins or until lightly browned. Makes approximately 3 doz cookies.
