Butter Cake:
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup butter
2 tsps vanilla
Glaze:
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter
3 tbsp water
1-2 tsp vanilla (I use 2)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all cake ingredients in bowl and stir. Bake @ 325º 1 hr- 1 hr and 15 minutes. Prepare butter glaze while cake is baking. When cake is baked, remove from oven and while hot poke holes. (I use a chop stick so holes are fairly large) Pour 1/2 glaze over cake, especially where holes are so it can soak.in. Let set 5 minutes. turn on cake plate and pour remaining glaze over top of cake
