1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Cinnamon/Sugar Mixture:
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon

In bowl stir together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt to combine thoroughly; set aside. Preheat oven to 400º. In mixer bowl combine butter and sugar; beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla. Beat in egg until well combined. Gradually add flour mixture, beating until just well combined. Drop cookies by rounded teaspoon, 6-8 at a time, into Cinnamon Sugar spread in shallow pan. Roll cookies to coat well, shaping them into balls as you roll. Arrange balls about 1 1/2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake until edges are golden brown (8-10 minutes). Transfer to wire rack to cool.
