½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 pinch of salt
1 cup boiling water
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
3 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine in a pan: sugar, cornstarch and salt.

Stir in 1 cup boiling water.

Boil, stirring constantly, for five minutes, or until thickened and translucent/clear.

Add in butter, lemon rind and lemon juice.

This recipe can be used on any gingerbread; I particularly like it on Great Grandfather Fornof's favorite Southern Spicy Gingerbread.
