2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour, sifted
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. almonds, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with sour cream to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and knead well. Shape into a loaf, wrap in waxed paper and aluminum foil. Refrigerate overnight or freeze. Preheat oven to 400º. Slice loaf and bake on greased cookie sheet about 10 minutes until browned. Makes 4-6 dozen cookies.
