1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand)
2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups light Karo syrup
1 cup butter
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp licorice of anise flavoring
1 - 2 tsp black food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cook, stirring constantly to 232º (adjust for your altitude) Take off stove and add licorice or anise flavoring and black food coloring. Pour in 9x13 buttered pan. Cool and cut in squares.
