1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. shortening (Crisco)
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Pecan Topping:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup sugar
3 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare crust by greasing 9x13 pan. Line pan with aluminum foil, extending the foil over the 9" ends of pan. Beat butter, sugar and shortening until creamy. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Do not over-mix. Press dough into the bottom of the 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes until lightly browned.

To prepare topping combine butter, brown sugar, honey and sugar in a 2 quart saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium heat and boil three additional minutes. Remove from heat; stir in pecans and cream. Pour hot topping over warm crust. Bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbling slightly in center. Cool. Lift out of pain with aluminum foil. Cut into bars.
