1 lb. green beans, ends removed
1/4 pound sliced mushrooms
1 T. vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 c. chicken broth
1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
1 egg (optional, but I really like it)
1 1/2 T. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sliced green onion (green and white parts)

Directions:
Steam green beans over boiling water for 5-10 min. (don't want too soft) Add mushrooms; steam 2-3 minutes more. While vegetables are steaming, heat oil in wok. Add garlic, sauté about 1 minute. Add broth and margarine. Stir until margarine is melted. Crack egg into pan. Stir slowly until egg scrambles. Stir in sugar and salt. Add green beans, mushrooms and green onion. Cook over med-high heat for about 15 minutes or until done to taste.
