6 Macintosh or granny smith apples
3 tsp Cinnamon
6 tbs brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter
Ice Cream or fresh cream (optional)

Preheat oven to 425º or this can also be done in the microwave.

core your apples and peel your apples 1/3 of the way from the top and down (this helps with the splitting of the apple peel that happens during cooking) set apples in a square or rectangle baking pan with at least 2 inch high sides. Fill pan 1/2 up the apples with water. In the center of cored apples put in 1 tbsp of brown sugare in each. Now put in 1/2 tsp of cinnamon into each apple. top with 1/2 tbsp of butter on each. Now bake for 35 - 45 minutes or until tender. Serve Hot. Top with ice cream, or fresh whipped cream if desired.
