1/2 c. butter or 1/2 c. shortening
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 1/2 lb. powdered sugar
approximately 1/3 c. boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Put shortening, salt, and flavorings in a bowl. Beat to combine. Gradually mix in powdered sugar alternating with water using an electric mixer on low speed. Beat on high speed until frosting is desired consistency (approximately 10 minutes).
Separate frosting into different bowls and dye with different colors to use for decorating sugar cookies or cakes.
