1 onion, chopped
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. chili powder
1 dash of hot sauce
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
1 c. tomato juice
1/4 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
Spareribs
1 fresh lemon, thinly sliced

Directions:

Mix onion, brown sugar, paprika, salt, mustard, chili powder, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, tomato juice, catsup, and water in a saucepan; simmer for 15 minutes. Cover, set aside.
Cut spareribs into serving pieces; place in a shallow baking pan. Place a lemon slice on each serving piece. Bake at 450ºF for 30 minutes. Pour sauce over the spareribs. Reduce temperature to 350ºF, cover. Bake 1-1/2 hours longer, basting frequently.
