CRUST:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. water
FILLING:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
FROSTING:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crust ingredients together and divide into two. Pat into 2 strips on a cookie sheet. Next bring butter and water to a boil, remove from heat and add flour. Mix together, add eggs one at a time, stirring after each egg. Add in almond extract. Spread filling over first layer. Bake at 350º for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Cool. For frosting cream together powdered sugar, butter and almond extract until smooth and creamy. May need a little milk. Frost cooled crust with filling then cut into strips.
