1 c. pecan pieces
Cake:
2 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
3 T. cocoa
1 c. Coca Cola
1/2 c. buttermilk (or 1/2 c. milk + 1 T. vinegar)
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
Frosting:
1 lb. powdered sugar
3 T. cocoa
1/2 c. butter
6 T. Coca Cola

While oven heats to 350º, toast pecans until golden.
Cake: Heat butter, coke, and cocoa until mixture boils and butter is melted. In a large bowl mix flour and sugar. Thoroughly mix in the hot Coke mixture. Stir soda into buttermilk and add along with beaten eggs and vanilla. Spread in a 15 x 10 in. sheet cake pan; scatter marshmallows over batter. Bake at 350 º, 30-35 min. Frost while hot.
Frosting: Combine butter, cocoa and Coke and heat to boiling. Pour over powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Stir in toasted pecans and spread warm frosting over hot cake.
