4 T. Butter
1 c. Brown Sugar
2 Egg yolks
1 Whole Egg
2-1/2 c. Milk
1/4 tsp. salt
5 T. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, add brown sugar.
Beat eggs, add salt.
Dissolve cornstarch in milk.
Add eggs, cornstarch and milk, to butter and brown sugar mixture.
Cook on top of stove until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat – add 2 more T of butter and 1 tsp. of vanilla.

For Pie – after cooling – pour into baked pie shell and add meringue topping.
