Ingredients:  
5 medium Golden Delicious apples, peeled & sliced
1/4 c butter
1/4 c water
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, saute apples in butter for 1 minute, stirring gently.
Add water, bring to a boil.
Sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon.
Reduce heat; cover; simmer for 10 - 12 minutes or until apples are tender.

My grandmother served this as a side dish but it's really good over ice cream. Sometimes it would have red hots melted into it (leave sugar out) for color.
