1 c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c all purpose flour
1/3 c dark cocoa
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Frosting ingredients
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp cocoa
1 tbsp light corn syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c powdered sugar
1-2 tbsp milk, if needed

Cream wet ingredients
Add together

Grease 9X9 pan, add batter

Bake @ 350º for 20-25 minutes

This is the original brownie recipe from the side of the Hershey's Cocoa box. It calls for regular cocoa, but once I discovered Dutch processed cocoa, I always used that.
Of course, you have to call them "Blackies", not "Brownies".
