1 c. brown mustard
1/2 c. ketchup
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
2 garlic cloves, smashed
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
a few dashes liquid smoke

combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. simmer gently stirring until sugar dissolves about 10 minutes. can be made in advance and stored in fridge.

not gonna lie, the pulled pork and BBQ sauce is pretty much a Tyler Florence recipe. I started making this in LBI for Memorial Day and now it is a BBQ staple. This sauce has a lot of mustard and vinegar which makes it a South Carolina style. It's delicious.
