Personal Notes:
My Mom taught me how to make this, a fond memory of our kitchen in our Hoboken walk up apartment. Waking up on Sunday morning; you could always smell the sauce cooking. You need to keep one of the empty tomato cans with your wooden spoon next to the pot for stirring..my Mom always did this and I carry on this tradition. Also, as far as cooking time, she always said "The longer you cook it, the better it tastes".
