8 OZ. LASAGNA OR WIDE NOODLES
1 TBSP. SALAD OIL
2 BAY LEAVES
1 1/2 TBSP. SALT
1 RECIPE OF SAVORY MEAT SAUCE
1 LB. COTTAGE CHEESE OR RICOTTA
6 TO 8 OZ. MOZZARELLA CHEESE OR BRICK CHEESE -- THINLY SLICED
1/4 CUP PARMESAN CHEESE

SAVORY MEAT SAUCE -- LASAGNA
1 LB. GROUND BEEF
1 TBSP. SALAD OIL
1 CAN (1 LB) TOMATOES
1 CAN (6 OZ) TOMATO PASTE
1/2 CUP WATER
1/2 CUP DICED CELERY
1 ENVELOPE SPAGHETTI SAUCE MIX
1 TSP. SALT
1 TBSP. PREPARED MUSTARD

Directions:
Slide lasagna noodle strips, without breaking into large kettle half filled with boiling water. Push into water.

Add oil, Bay leaves & salt. Boil 15 to 20 min. or until almost tender-- drain

Oil a 12 x 8 inch baking dish. Make a layer of noodle strips.

Spoon over a third of the sauce.

Dot with half the cottage cheese, some slices of mazzerella and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.

Repeat layers making top layers of remaining noodles and sauce. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and dot with mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 350º for 30 min. Set stand 15 min. Cut into squares to serve.

SAVORY MEAT SAUCE
Brown meat in hot salad oil in a 3 qt. sauce pan. Break meat apart into small portions as it browns.

Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, celery, sauce mix, salt and mustard.

Bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer 15 50 20 min or until thick, stir frequently

Yield 4 1/2 to 5 cups sauce.
