1 lb. italian sausage, casing removed
2 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onion
2 lbs. zucchini, cut into half-inch pieces
1 can (28 oz.) peeled tomatoes, chopped, or 7 fresh tomatoes, peeled, seeded, chopped
2 tsp. each: salt, sugar
1 tsp. each: italian seasoning, oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. chopped green pepper
freshly grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage in large dutch oven until brown, drain fat. Add celery and onion; cook 10 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except green pepper and cheese, simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
Stir in green peppers; cover and cook 10 minutes. Garnish with parmesan cheese. Serve with bread.
