1 3/4 - 2 c. coarsely chopped leftover baked ham
27 oz can pinto beans, lightly drained & rinsed
2 hands full of 1/4 in. wide egg noodles
1 baseball sized onion, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. chopped green onion tops
1 Tbs. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbs. salt/ more or less to taste
1 tsp. black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place leftover ham,plus any remaining ham drippings, & seasonings into a heavy 5 qt.pot. Add water to within 1 inch of pot rim and boil on medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir in the beans continuing to cook for another 10 minutess. Toss in the noodles and simmer until tender. Serve up with a generous piece of cornbread or garlic toast.
