1 c. cold water
1 stick butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 1/2 Tbs. cocoa
2 c. sugar & 2 c. flour mixed
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
FOR TOPPING:
1 stick margarine
1/3 c. milk
3 1/2 Tbs. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F. Bring the first 4 ingredients to a boil in a heavy pot. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Blend well. Pour batter into a greased 11" x 16" pan, and bake for 20 minutes.
FOR TOPPING:
Boil milk, butter, & cocoa. Remove from heat to add powdered sugar and pecans. Beat well and spread on cake while it is still hot.
