* 4 lbs. beef short ribs, trimmed
* 2 lbs. small red potatoes, scrubbed and scored
* 1 sm. pack pre-cut carrot slices
* 2 onions, cut into thick wedges
* 1 (12 oz.) bottle beer or non-alcoholic malt beverage
* 8 tbsp. Deli Brown Mustard, divided
* 3 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce, divided

1) Broil ribs 6 inches from heat on rack in broiler pan for 10 minutes or until well-browned, turning once.

2) Place potatoes, carrots and onions in bottom of slow cooker. Place ribs on top of vegetables.

3) Combine beer, 6 tbsp. mustard and 2 tbsp.. Worcestershire. Pour into slow cooker.

4) Cover and cook on high heat setting for 5 hours or until meat is tender.

5) Transfer meat and vegetables to platter; keep warm.

6) Strain fat from broth into saucepan. Combine cornstarch with 2 tbsp. cold water. Stir into broth with remaining 2 tbsp. mustard and 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce.

7) Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened, stirring often.

8) Use gravy with meat and vegetables.
