FIRST LAYER
3 ozs unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sifted flour
3 eggs beaten
1 1/2 cups sugar

SECOND LAYER
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
4 1/2 T butter, softened
2 1/4 T milk
4 tsp creme De Menthe liqueur

THIRD LAYER
2 1/2 ozs semi-sweet chocolate
2 1/4 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
First layer: Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, blend well. Combine sugar and eggs; beat until sugar is dissolved. Add to chocolate mixture. Stir flour into chocolate mixture. Grease and dust with coco a 3 quart rectangular casserole. Pour in batter and bake 25 minutes at 350º. Let cool

Second layer: beat sugar and butter together; beat in milk and liqueur. Spread on cooled first layer. Refrigerate and let set.

Third layer: Melt chocolate and butter together over low heat. Pour over second layer, tilting pan to spread evenly. Chill or freeze. Cut into squares.

******I also make a first layer let cool, put on the second layer after cooled. Bake another first layer and place on top and pour the third layer over this.

******I also double the recipe.
