1 cup of Sour Cream
1 cup of Sugar
1 cup of Raisins
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Nutmeg
3 egg yokes (save egg whites for meringue)
8" Regular Pie Crust

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and cook in sauce pan on low temperature until it thickens (20-25 minutes). Set pan in sink with cold water to cool.

Pour into cooked pie crust and let cool for about an hour. Top with meringue.

Egg Whites
1/4 tsp of cream of tartar or 1/8 tsp of salt
6 T sugar - one at a time
1/4 tsp of vanilla
Bake in 350 º over for 12-15 minutes

This was my mother-in-laws recipe and everyone loves it, not very many people have ever heard of this recipe.

This recipe is for one regular pie crust not a deep dish. That is how old this recipe is they did not have deep dish pie crusts back then.
