Ingredients: 1 ½ lb. ground beef 16 oz can of crushed tomatoes 1 medium onion (grated) 1/8 cup chopped parsley ¼ cup lemon juice ½ tsp. salt ½ tsp. pepper ½ tsp. allspice 3 packages frozen dough

Directions: |
Directions:Combine the onion, ground beef, parsley, crushed tomatoes and lemon juice. Mix well. Add all the spices.
Divide each loaf of dough in seven pieces. Flatten each piece of dough and lay it on a greased pan. (It is preferable to grease the pans with shortening).
Add approximately 2 tbsp. of meat mixture to each flattened piece of dough. Spread the meat to fit the dough.
Bake in 350° oven for approximately 20 minutes. |

Notes: If you want something filling, something that can be eaten any time of the day or night, make lahmi be ageen. My mother usually made this on Saturday mornings. She would wake up early and get the dough ready. Then, just before we woke up, she prepared the trays and put them in the oven. The smell of the dough baking made us feel warm and cozy. Imme usually made lahmi bi ageen with manaeesh.
