Cake:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
½ t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 stick butter or margarine
1 c. water
½ c. shortening
3 T. cocoa
2 beaten eggs
1 t. soda
½ c. buttermilk
1 t. vanilla
Icing:
1 stick of butter or margarine
3 T. cocoa
6 T. milk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Cake:
Step 1 Stir flour, sugar, salt & cinnamon together in a bowl.

Step 2 Bring margarine, water, shortening and cocoa to a boil & pour over #1.

Step 3 Mix eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla, and add to other mixture & bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes in a 15”x11”x1” (or 3- 8” round) pan sprayed with Baker’s Joy:

Icing:
Step 1 Melt butter or margarine, milk and cocoa, but do not boil.

Step 2 Add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts, and mix well.

Step 3 Ice cake in the pan while the icing is still hot.
