2 cups sugar
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
for variety add 1 cup candied cherries or 1 cup chopped nuts
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
8 oz. white chocolate (coarsely chopped)

Directions:
In meduim saucepan, combine sugar, condensed milk, and buttermilk. Heat over meduim heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil.Continue to boil, stirring constantly for 7 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in white chocolate and marshmallows until melted. Add candied cherries or nuts (if desired ) and mix. Pour into a generously buttered 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Spread evenly. Cool completely; cover with plastic wrap and store in refrigerator. With a very sharp knife, cut fudge into quarters, then each quarter into nine squares.
