2 cups warm milk
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. rapid rising yeast
3 Tbsp. cooking oil

1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
4 cups flour
4 Tbsp. butter (divided)
Directions:
Directions:
1) Warm the milk in the microwave to lukewarm temperature, add yeast and sugar. When the yeast starts working, add oil, and stir.

2) Add 2 cups flour, mix. Add remaining 2 cups flour and knead until it forms a smooth ball of dough.

3) Lightly oil a medium bowl, put dough in the bowl and turn it over so that the oil covers top and bottom of the dough. (We call this dipping and flipping) Cover with a wet dishtowel. Let rise until it doubles in size.

4) Heat oven to 350º, put 2 Tbsp butter on a cookie sheet and heat in oven until butter is melted.

5) Roll out dough to about 1/2 inch thick, then spread dough with 2 Tbsp. soft butter. Use a glass or cup to cut round circles. Fold each circle in half and place on buttered cookie sheet. Butter each side using the butter on the cookie sheet (dip and flip!).

6) Place folded dough on cookie sheet each one touching. You should usually have about 6 across and 5 down, depending on the size that was cut. Cover with wet dishcloths and let rise again.

7) Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes or until top and bottom is lightly browned.
