1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, soften
3/4 c. (1-1/2 sticks) butter, soften
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2-1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c colored sugar or festive sprinkles

BEAT first 4 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add flour and baking soda; mix well. Refrigerate 30 min.

HEAT oven to 350ºF. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut into assorted shapes, using 3-inch cookie cutters. Place 2 inches apart, on greased baking sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar.

BAKE 10 to 12 min. or until edges begin to brown. Cool on baking sheets 3 min.; transfer to wire racks. Cool completely.
