1 cup liquid smoke
1/2 bag brown sugar (1 lb)
2 heaped big serving spoons beef soup base*
Garlic salt to taste
Large restaurant-sized metal bowl full of water

Bottle of bbq sauce of your choice
Baby Back Ribs

*Bigger than a tablespoon- a spoon you would use to serve pasta sauce etc.)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix above ingredients together. Place ribs in a large cake or roaster pan and marinade over night. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 hours. Let cool. Coat with BBQ sauce and grill until hot.

*This make A LOT of marinade. I usually make four racks and then freeze the remaining marinade. I often cook them the day ahead and put them in the refrigerator until warming them up on the grill.
