2 2/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup broken nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs in large bowl with mixer. Set aside. Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in heavy saucepan. Stir low over low heat until sugar is dissolved, then cook without stirring to 260º (hard ball stage), approx 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and pour, beating constantly, in a fine stream into the egg mixture. Add vanilla and continue beating until mixture holds its' shape and becomes slightly dull. Fold in nuts. Spread in buttered pan or drop onto waxed paper. If too stiff, add a few drops of hot water. Cut when fully cooled. Store tightly covered for up to one week.
