1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon finely grated fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (4-pound) bone-in Boston butt pork roast,cut in
half along the bone
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup seasoned rice vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
Hot cooked rice
Chopped fresh cilantro

Directions:
Directions:
1.Combine sugar,ginger,garlic,salt,pepper,cumin,and cinnamon:rub over pork. Place pork in a large, heavy-duty resealable plastic bag: seal and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or up to 24 hours.

2. Remove pork from bag, and place in a 6-quart slow cooker. Whisk together broth,vinegar,and soy sauce: pour over pork. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour: reduce heat to low, and cook for 7 to 8 hours or until pork is tender.

3. Remove pork, and shred meat. Skim and discard fat from liquid. Serve pork over hot cooked rice, and sprinkle with cilantro.
