1/2 lb. butter
2 cups light corn syrup
2 cups sugar
2 cans Eagle brand milk (sweetened)
1/2 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy saucepan, melt butter. Add syrup and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add 1 1/2 cans of the milk. Mix flour with remaining milk. Add one cup of hot mixture to flour mixture and stir well, then combine with remaining syrup-sugar mixture. Boil until mixture darkens and forms medium-hard ball in cold water. (240º F) Add vanilla and pur into shallow buttered pan. Allow to cool then turn onto cutting board and cut into squares using a sharp, buttered knife. Wrap in wax paper.
