4-lb. spareribs
2tbsp. shortening or oil
2tbsp. brown sugar
1tbsp.cornstarch
1/2tspsalt
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup diced onion
1/3 cup diced green pepper

Cut the ribs into serving sized pieces.Simmerin boiling salted water until tender About 11/2-2 hours. Drain the ribs and heat oil in pan. Brown the ribs.Toss the vegetables in with the ribs and allow to cook for 2mins. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, add vinegar, water, and pineapple juice. Once dry ingredients are dissolved , add to the ribs.Cook for about 5 min.or until the sauce is almost absorbed.
