½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped fresh basil
¼ cup fine dry breadcrumbs
3 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
8 plum tomatoes, halved lengthwise
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Garnish: fresh basil sprigs, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, breadcrumbs, and crumbled bacon in a small bowl.

Sprinkle tomato halves with salt and pepper; place on a lightly greased aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Spoon cheese mixture over tomato halves.

Broil tomatoes 5 inches from the heat for 7 to 8 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Garnish, if desired. Serve immediately.
