1 c. butter, room temp.
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar till fluffy. Add egg, yolk, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Gradually blend in flour till dough is smooth.

Divide dough in half. Shape into 2 (2") round logs. Wrap in wax paper. freeze 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 F. Line baking sheet.

Remove dough from freezer. Let soften a few minutes. Roll in decorations, like chopped nuts, coconut, sprinkles or sugar. Cut into 1/4" slices. Place on sheet. Bake 12 -14 min. just until edges start to brown. Cool on wire rack.
