5 large potatoes
1 large onion, diced
1 cup diced celery
1 cup water
2 Tbsp. butter
4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. pepper
1 cup chopped, pre-cooked ham
2 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
In large pan, cut potatoes into chunks, add onions, celery, add butter, salt and pepper (optional ham). Cook till potatoes are firm but not soft, about 15 minutes. Then drain most of water and add 2 cups milk.

Simmer (not boil) till potatoes are soft, about 10 minutes.
