1 1/2 lb round steak
1 large dill pickle
1 package sliced bacon

Directions:
Cut steak into strips about 6" long and about 3" wide. Lay a piece of bacon along the length of each steak. Slice pickle into about 10 slices and place cross wise on top of steak and bacon. Roll and fasten with 2 or 3 toothpicks. Brown rolls well in hot fat. After they are dark, rich brown, add enough water to nearly cover. Cook until very tender and thicken the gravy with a mixture of flour and water.

Goes well with mashed potatoes and a green vegetable.
