1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coffee (or 1/2 teaspoon instant in 1/2 cup water)
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt (or herb salt)
1 large can oven-baked beans
1 onion, thinly sliced
4 slices bacon, chopped
1/4 cup brandy (or use maple syrup)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, coffee, vinegar, mustard, salt, beans and onion in casserole dish; stir gently. Cover and bake at 350°F. For 45 minutes. Gently stir in brandy (or maple syrup) and top with bacon. Continue baking, uncovered, about 30 minutes.
