2 Small Heads of Red Cabbage
2 - 3 spoons of Lard
1 large onion
3 Granny Smith apples
4 tbsp. of Red Current Jelly
Broth as needed
2 tbsp. of White Balsamic Vinegar
3 - 4 Bay leaves
6 - 10 Juniper berries (as per personal like)
2 - 3 strips of Bacon - finally sliced
Salt and Pepper to taste

Remove top leaves of cabbage. Cut into quarters and slice thinly. Chop onions and bacon and saute with lard in large pot. When onions are translucent - add Red Cabbage and saute until glossy. Add Vinegar - mix well (will maintain red color). Add apples, broth and spices and let slowly simmer until medium done. Add red current jelly and continue to simmer until done. Add more broth if needed. Enjoy!
