3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, shortening and baking powder. Beat together the egg, vinegar and water, then add to the flour mixture. Chill in wax paper. Divide up into quantities you will use.

Makes 2-3 pie crusts. If using for Quiche, it is a one crust dish and crust is best precooked (prevents sogginess in final product) with a buttered piece of foil in the bottom of the pie plate on top of the crust in the pie plate; fill foil with dry navy beans (reserved for this purpose only) to hold the shape for the pie filling to be added later - then pre bake a good 15 minutes, remove from oven, then remove the foil and dry beans. Your crust is ready to fill with quiche mixture.
