2 cups scalded milk
4-5 cups all purpose flour, sifted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup softened butter (not margarine)
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350º

Pour scalded milk over butter, salt, and sugar, stir until butter is melted.
Let cool until lukewarm as not to "kill" the yeast.
Add yeast to lukewarm mixture, mix well until yeast is dissolved with no lumps.
Mix sifted flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
Add flour baking soda, and baking powder mixture slowly to liquid mixture.
Mix well, let rest and rise until doubled in bulk in a warm place.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/2" thick, cut with round biscuit cutter, brush with melted butter, fold over.
Place in greased shallow pan.
Let rise 30 minutes.

Bake in pre-heated 350º oven. 10-12 minutes.
