2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
1 c firmly packed light brown sugar
1 c firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 T vanilla
2 large eggs
2 1/2 c unbleached flour, combined with 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 2 T freshly ground coriander
3 c chopped walnuts
3 c semisweet chocolate chips

Cream the butter. Beat in the sugars until the mixture is very light in color. Stir in the vanilla, beat in the eggs on at a time and stir in the flour mixture. Add the walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop by large Tablespoons on a greased baking sheet (10 to a sheet - stagger 5 rows of 2.) Bake at 375º for 12-15 mins. They will darken a little when you take them out of the oven. Don't over bake. Make about 40 cookies. You can half this recipe.
