4 lbs. babyback or usual pork ribs
4 qts. water
1 cup cider vinegar
3 tsp. salt
freshly ground black pepper
1 small onion, chopped
2 clove garlic, crushed
2 cups BBQ sauce of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse the ribs under cold running water. Place in a large pot or roasting pan. Add 2 quarts water, 3/4 cup vinegar, 2 tsp of salt, add more water if needed to barely cover the ribs. Add onion and garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat on top of stove, reduce the heat to low then simmer for 30 minutes. Drain ribs. Add the remaining water, vinegar, salt and pepper to taste. In pot or roasting pan, bring to a simmer, cover and cook until the ribs are tender. Drain ribs, pour sauce over ribs, simmer over low heat, stirring until sauce is thickened, ribs are glazed, about 10 minutes. Transfer ribs to carving board, cut between bones into individual ribs. Pour sauce over ribs and serve hot.
