2 c. diced apples
1 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts
Sauce:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine
2 T. flour
1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together apples and sugar, then add egg. Sift together dry ingredients; add to apple mixture and mix well. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into ungreased 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350ºF for 35 minutes.
Cook sauce until thick and pour over pudding as soon as it comes out of the oven. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
